Are you on the right path?

Are you on the right path? Do you know where you are going to spend eternity.  The Bible says you can know that you have eternal life. The key is getting on the right path.  The truth is you are not going to stop doing things that you should not do until you get on the right Path.
Getting on the "Path" in the Biblical sense is getting your direction in life from God. You have two choices: continue going down your current path and go to hell (unless your already on the right path) or get on the right path which leads to heaven. Are you on the right path?  Do you want to know the benefits of eternal life with Jesus Christ? Do you want to know that your sins are forgiven and that you are in a right standing with God? Here are the A, B, C & D's of Salvation. A, B & C get you on the right path and D keeps you on that path. Here they are:

A - Admit you're a sinner.  Everyone has done things that displease a Holy God.  No one can live up to His standards.  He says no sin can enter heaven.  Something must be done to get rid of your sin.

Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Revelation 21:27 “There shall by no means enter it (heaven) anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
B - Believe Jesus died on the cross for you.  God loves you and wants you to become His child.  He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to shed His blood to save you from your sins.  He took your place on the cross, and suffered the punishment you deserve.  Believe that He died for you, was buried, and rose again on the third day.

1 Peter 2:24 “Who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross), that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness.”

Colossians 1:14 “In whom (Jesus) we have redemption (salvation) through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”

Acts 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.”

C - Confess your sinfulness to God, and turn from it.  Call upon Jesus to save you-trust in Him as your Savior from sin.  This may be a simple but sincere cry from your heart, or it may be expressed out loud.  Luke 18:13 “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
D - Dedicate your life to God.  Salvation does not stop at "C". You have to start living your life for Jesus. Start taking your direction in life from God.  Study his Word and follow it in your life. Pray everyday and ask God to bless your life.

If you believe in Jesus and have placed your faith and trust in Him, God has forgiven you.  Then you, along with all the others who believe in Jesus, will spend eternity in heaven with Him.
